Dear Students, Friends and Family,
At this special time of the year, we reflect on the love we have fortunate to have received. If you get a moment, please read the note below that DSI received from one of our cherished students who has been an incredible blessing to our school and community. Her note captures in words why our teachers get up every single day!
We are often reminded of all of the people that have helped us in our lives, and how the Gift of the Holidays is in sharing all of the love and blessings we have received. Thank you to all of our students for the opportunity to be in your lives, to learn with you and to grow.
From the Dermal Science International Aesthetics & Nails Academy family to yours, wish each and everyone of our students, friends and family a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
We Love Our Students!

Where do I even begin?
When I got out of the ARMY, I was lost. I slept in everyday, depressed that I no longer had a reason to wake up. After weeks of searching I finally found DSI on google, and made an appointment to come in that same day. Initially i only went for the nail program, Then I signed up for the Basics which then lead to Masters. Not only has this school offered me so much to give back to the Esthetics world but it gave me a second family! A lot of students are excited to be done with school, but i must say i will miss waking up everyday to go to DSI. As 8 of my fellow Army friends took their lives by suicide or just happened to run into Death …. all i could was just think how I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else in the world then at school…. school was my safe haven. It let me escape reality, even if it was just for a moment. and all the teachers and students surrounded me with love in my times of despair. As i suffer from my PTSD from the ARMY and all my personal issues, I just felt so normal again at this school…. it felt so good not to be alone. and for the 100th time i thank each and every one of you not for only changing my life….. but for saving me also.
Mrs. Lourdes- You are the structure to every student in that school. The way you teach has a lasting impression. you are so professional and so loving that you make us hungry for more knowledge. I wouldn’t have made it to masters without everything you have taught me.
Mrs. Debra- The purest of hearts!!! I must say you made Masters go by so fast. You are a great teacher and i hope you never giving up teaching bc there is something so so so comforting about you. You believe in every student, even when we don’t see it in ourselves.
Mrs. Renee- I will definitely miss telling jokes and seeing your reaction! Thank you for preparing us to take on the world after state boards. Thank you for never judging me.
Mrs. Gwen- I never thought you liked me at first but after the 100th time i came into your office to bug you i think you just realized you had to deal with me …. I will miss bugging you everyday over the little things. Thank you for always letting me complain and vent to you about my personal life. You are like a mother to me and i will surely miss you!
Mrs. Shiva- thank you so much for changing my world around. Your school has blessed me with family, friends, and an education. I could not have asked for a better way to spend my year. I hope you continue to grow your business and change the lives of other students. thank you for having a school to become others safe havens. Thank you for choosing me for the extra award … i know i had a lot of ups and downs at that school but I’m so honored you choose me. I wish you the best.”
